Hi, I'm Max

I'm an actor, creative and all-around happy-go-lucky guy based out of New York, but born and raised in rural Missouri. Kirksville, MO to be exact. If you've ever heard of it, let me know. That would be super weird and fun!

The first play I remember seeing was an original vaudevillian comedy performed in an old converted livestock auction barn next to my grandparents' house. I spent days when I was a kid playing, pretending, and building worlds with my Nana in that space. To this day I still love that any place is a performance space, as long as there are people to make it happen. By the time I was ten I started acting in plays at a local Repertory Theatre and I have been performing ever since!

To me theatre, film, art as a whole, is a foundation of our society. I believe that without storytelling our communities struggle to effectively work with, and relate to one another. I enjoy psychologically exploring characters and stories, and putting them together like a puzzle before letting audiences take from them what they need. I hope to peak internal curiosity within people and leave them examining the world around them in a new way.

I graduated from Truman State University (2020) with a BA degree in Theatre Studies and a minor in Music (Vocal Performance). I also attended the American Theatre Wing's Springboard Program (Musical Theatre, 2018), and was an Acting Apprentice at the Williamstown Theatre Festival (2019). For the last five years I have been working throughout NYC both as an actor and bartender. In the fall of 2026 I will be starting my graduate studies for an MFA in Acting! More on when and where soon!

I currently reside in the East Village with my boyfriend, Brandon, an entourage of house plants, and a library worth of books, scripts and plays.

P.S. I am a huge nerd. If you gave me enough time I could probably name every single Pokemon. A skill that is probably pointlessly fascinating, but surprisingly entertaining.
